Vinyl Coated Polyester This sample packet includes a sample of the 10 oz, 14 oz (clear), 18 oz and 42 oz Vinyl Coated Polyester plus a sample of coverlight neoprene. Vinyl Coated Polyester is made by taking a polyester mesh and either laminating or coating it with vinyl, created a solid vinyl that is reinforced by the polyester mesh. Coverlight Neoprene is a highly dense, neoprene coated nylon fabric similar in look and feel to Hypolon and is used for the same purposes. It stays soft and pliable even at low temperatures and is also impervious to oil and grease. The surface is not smooth and shiny like PVC coated fabrics but is soft with a slight gripping quality. It is often used on snow shoes.
